Custom Wine Cellars Tampa will create an exceptional wine cellar design for your space. One of the crucial factors to consider when building refrigerated wine rooms is the aesthetic appeal. Our team is composed of creative designers who have helped transform bare rooms into eye-catching wine display areas. We recommend adding decorative features that will add a luxurious look to your wine cellar.

How We Design a Luxurious-Looking Wine Cellar on a Budget

One of the reasons why private wine collectors invest in a wine room designed by a professional is to create a stunning wine display, which they can show off to their friends. For owners of a business that sells wine, they want to have an attractive presentation of their products. Eye-catching displays of wines can attract potential customers and help generate wine sales.

When designing wine cellars, we will consider your preferences, the existing décor in your home or commercial establishment, the mood that you want to create in your wine cellar, and the shape of your wine room.

At Custom Wine Cellars Tampa, we recommend adding decorative features to your wine cellar design. You do not have to break the bank to add a luxurious look to your wine room.

Elegant Custom Wine Racks Made for a Traditional and Contemporary Wine Cellar Design

The wine rack material has a significant impact on achieving the ambiance that you want for your wine cellar. Therefore, it must be chosen carefully to meet your aesthetic requirements. Wood is ideally used in building traditional wine rooms, while metal is for designing contemporary wine cellars. You may opt to combine wood and metal if you prefer a transitional-style wine cellar.

Wood Wine Racks

Wood is a material widely used in manufacturing wine racks because of its advantages. It has a timeless appeal and adds a warm ambiance to any space.

Our wood wine racks are available in pre-made (kit wine racks) and custom wine racks. During the assessment stage, we will ask you if you want kit wine racks or customized racks. Keep in mind that premade wine racks are recommended for wine collectors who are on a budget. Our kit wine racks are available in various sizes and styles to accommodate the needs of our clients.

Custom wine racks are more expensive. However, customization options will allow you to enhance the visual appeal of your wine rack system. You can choose the racking styles, bottle openings, sizes, and stains for your wine racks. We use high-quality and beautiful types of wood for our wine racks, namely, Mahogany, Redwood, Alder, and Pine. We also offer various stain options to match your needs.

Metal Wine Racks

Metal is a top-racking material used for creating contemporary wine cellar designs. It is known for its sleek appeal, making metal wine racks perfect for achieving minimalist appeal. At Custom Wine Cellars Tampa, we offer metal wine storage systems from VintageView, STACT, and Ultra Wine Racks.

Using their products can bring a room or wall to a new level. We offer floor-to-ceiling, wall-mounted, and freestanding wine racks from VintageView. The stain options include Pearl, Copper, Black Pearl, Brass, Antique Brown, Rustic Red, and Chrome.

The STACT wine racks are made of aircraft-grade aluminum and anodized supports attached to a wooden panel. You may choose from different finishes for your panel, including white oak, gray oak, walnut, zebrawood, electric orange, blackout, pure white, citrus green, and gunmetal gray.

If you want to create an illusion of the bottles floating in the air, we recommend wine rack systems from Ultra Wine Racks that make use of pegs attached to a durable panel. The different styles of wine racks they offer are Ultra Fusion, Ultra Diamond Fusion, Ultra PEG Series, and Ultra PEG HZ Series.

Elegant Wine Cellar Doors

Adding an elegant entrance to your wine room will have a significant impact on the overall design of your wine cellar. At Custom Wine Cellars Tampa, we offer various types of doors.

Our glass doors are commonly used in modern residential and commercial wine cellars. You may choose seamless glass doors to allow a clear view of your wines from the outside. We suggest a wrought iron door for those who want to add a vintage touch to their wine cellar.

Wine Cellar Murals

Another trend in wine cellar design is using murals. A mural is a piece of art that makes a wine cellar unique. It can serve as a beautiful backdrop for your arched or rectangular opening in your racking. The common designs used for murals are vineyard scenery, wineries, grapevines, barrels, and wine bottles.

For commercial wine cellars, you may add a logo design of your company or an image of your business establishment. The limit is your imagination. Our design specialists are also willing to help design your mural. You may choose between natural stone, marble tile, and canvas for the material.

Dramatic Wine Cellar Lighting System

Another element in wine cellar design that can bring wine rooms to life is the lighting system. The wine bottles cradled in the wine racks can be highlighted dramatically with proper wine cellar lighting. At Custom Wine Cellars Tampa, our creative team will install the perfect lighting fixtures that will highlight your wines beautifully.

Wine Barrel Features

Incorporating an eco-friendly touch into your wine cellar design is another way to improve the look of your wine cellar. We offer wine barrel features such as flooring, wine racks, and tables. If you want to be friendly to the environment and add a vintage appeal to your wine cellar, incorporating reclaimed wine barrels into your wine cellar design could be a wonderful addition.

Our wine barrel flooring can be Staves (outer parts), Cooperage (barrelheads), or Infusion style (inside parts). It can add a distinctive look to your wine cellar because no two planks are the same.

How Wine Cellar Specialists Constructed the Home Wine Cellar for Long-Term Enjoyment

Building a refrigerated wine cellar requires technical knowledge and expertise. Wine Cellar Specialists have an in-depth understanding of the vital role of proper wine room construction in creating a wine room for long-term storage.

The proper aging of wine can be achieved when the wine cellar is constructed correctly. As master wine cellar builders, Custom Wine Cellars Tampa and Wine Cellar Specialists follow standard procedures in wine room construction.

In every project, there are considerations that should be taken to ensure that the wine cellar has an airtight seal. Unstable conditions will deteriorate the wines quickly.

In this project, and every project that they do, they prepare the wine room for refrigeration to protect the wines from external factors. They insulated the walls and ceiling using a reliable type of insulation, using the green board.

Proper insulation will prevent the premature aging of wines. Wine room insulation will prevent the warm air from entering the cellar and interfering with the cooling efficiency of the wine cooling system.  Wine Cellar Specialists also installed a vapor barrier to help regulate the humidity levels inside the wine cellar. It prevents the warm air from traveling to the cooler environment in your refrigerated wine cellar. Without it or if installed incorrectly, the wine storage conditions will be disrupted.

When done correctly, the ideal wine storage temperature (55 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit) and humidity level (60 to 70 percent) can be achieved. Excessive heat will cause premature aging, which will affect the overall quality of the wines, causing them to have off-flavors and aromas. Moreover, very high humidity levels will trigger mold growth, affecting the structural integrity of the walls and wine racks. Mold can also damage the wine labels and cork.

Very low humidity levels will cause the cork to become dry. Cork that has dried out will decrease in size and cause an unwanted amount of air to enter the wine, causing oxidation. An oxidized wine will taste like burnt marshmallows or wet newspaper.

Wine Cellar Specialists are known for their creativity and expertise in designing luxurious-looking home wine cellars. In this project, the space was limited, but this did not hinder them frobuilding a beautiful wine room.

They combined various racking styles to create an attractive wine display of the client’s collection and utilized high-quality wood for the racking. All of the wine racks installed have a 1.5 toe-kick base and crown molding. These wine racks are made from Mahogany, an exterior-grade material known for its natural beauty and durability.

On the left wall, they included custom wine racks with a descending height to fit the sloping ceiling perfectly. This section was intended for storing 750ml bottles with bottle caps facing out. The wine racks are 13.5 inches deep.

The top section of the back wall consists of 3-deep horizontal wine racks, which store the bottles on their sides with the labels facing out.  The left side of the racking includes a shorter wine rack.

You will find a double-deep X-bin wine rack at the bottom section of the back wall, ideal for bulk storage and better wine organizationThe bottles are stored one on top of another. The different sections allow for grouping the bottles according to variety.

Wine Cellar Specialists added a tabletop above the X-in racking to provide space for decanting and serving the wines. Other racking styles found on the back wall are the high-reveal display row and single-bottle wine racks.

On the right wall, they installed wine racks with 6 inches depth and the same height as the door. They concealed the wine refrigeration unit with a wooden grill and cover at the top section.
